Roanoke —Airport RoadAfter receiving a BA from the University of Miami, Dr. Christine McKenna completed a Post Baccalaureate at the University of Michigan and a Doctor of Medicine from the University of Virginia. Dr. McKenna finished an Internal Medicine Internship and Ophthalmology Residency at the University of Virginia and was awarded the UVA Ophthalmology Advocacy Ambassador and the Residency Teaching Award.
Dr. McKenna is deeply passionate about ophthalmology, blending her lifelong curiosity about the eye with a commitment to helping patients preserve and enhance their vision. Whether performing routine vision corrections or tackling complex, sight-saving surgeries, she brings the same level of care and expertise to every case.
Dr. McKenna discovered Virginia when she moved here for medical school and has called it home ever since. In her free time, she enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband and twin boys, whether biking, fishing, or hiking. With a background in fine arts, she also loves photography and pottery as creative outlets.
